Aber ich mache meinen Beruf doch ganz gerne, man lernt ständig neue und ganz unterschiedliche Menschen kennen. Ich glaube ich wäre nicht der Mensch, der ohne Publikumsverkehr etwa als Buchhalter arbeiten könnte.

Dużo wysiłku zajęłoby mi sprawdzenie, czy mój tekst jest poprawny po polsku i brzmi normalnie gramatycznie i stylistyczni. Zakładam, że nadal mówię w tym samym języku co Piotr Jankowski, czyli po polsku. Prawdopodobnie będę udzielał krótszych odpowiedzi po polsku.

We have several options here, on the one hand the local cuisine, then some international dishes and on the other hand some German dishes, as my boss belongs to the German minority. But if you are a stranger you'll of course prefer the typical dishes of our country and our city, then you might consider the following:
Let's start with Drinks, there are:
Kompot – it's a traditional lagowian drink consisting of fruit, spices and sugar. Beer – There are several variations: Pils and Lager, you will most probably allready know, a pils is more tart and refreshing, a lager is sweeter. Then there is porter, a deep dark malty sweet beer in a regional variation. And we have another weet beer tasting after apples and lemon grass, it's a ntional specialty. Zubrowka – A vodka made with bison grass. Soplica – a liqueur that tastes after blueberries. Goldwater - a liquor with finepieces of leafs of gold from the city of Pniewno.
With a view to the topic of ‘Gdansk Gold Water’: Lagow corresponds in principle to modern Poland as far as the territories are concerned. However, with the exception that Warmia-Masuria or East Prussia are not integrated and populated as before 1945 (i.e. with Germans in the north, and a Polish-speaking Protestant population in the south and Lithuanians in the north-east and a catholic territory in the inner.) - albeit with certain deviations in terms of relief. Eastern Poland in the interwar period can possibly be found partly in Mazovia-Baltonia. Certain things are still undeveloped here. The events of the Second World War did not take place; it is more likely that the areas depicting Silesia and Pomerania have belonged for centuries to Lagow. However the german speaking and the jewisch minority is larger than in contemporary Poland. So it's to a certain degree a mixture of pre world war situaion and to day.
Let's go on to food
Herring Lipovka style – Fit's perfectly to vodka as it is in oil. Zurek – It's a traditional lagowian dish consisting of sour cream, meat or fish, eggs and various spices. There are many variations of this dish in Lipowka. Pierogi – They are dumplings that can be filled with various fillings such as potatoes, cheese, meat or fruit. We often serve them with sour cream or onions. Bigos – A traditional lagowian stew consisting of various types of meat, vegetables and spices. Kiełbasa – A tasty sausage that is often grilled or fried. Pączki: – A round yeast pastry baked in fat and traditionally filled with rosehip jam - often sprinkled with icing sugar. Makowiec – A traditional cake filled with poppy seeds. And a speciality of the city Lipowka: Wuzetka – A cake tha enjoys cult status, it is the Lipowka cake par excellence. Cocoa dough alternates with cream, it melts in your mouth!
